Cory's Race
Information
Willow Springs International Speedway
3500 75th Street West in Rosamond, CA
Our Goal
For this event to be as successful as the east coast events, we are looking to partner with local, national and international businesses, but we are also accepting individual donations.
Racing for ALS has operated on the east coast of the United States, and due to immense support and success, the organization is growing.
This West Coast Racing for ALS event will be dedicated to former Riverside Police Officer Cory Oakes and the Oakes family
Cory Oakes was a 27-year-old Riverside Police Officer who was diagnosed with ALS in late 2013. Due to the aggressive nature of the disease, Cory fought hard but passed away only months after diagnosis in March of 2014. Cory left behind his pregnant wife, mother, father, brother and many friends.
Through the important and cutting-edge research at ALS-TDI, we can prevent future suffering. ALS will be treatable and one day curable through the research being conducted.
